Artist statement about the piece This digital photograph depicts a still life of an adult dragonfly captured pausing to rest upon a leaf, and appearing to cast a smile at the camera.
Short bio about the artist  Michelle Welliver is an artist with a passion and devotion to capturing life’s beautiful surroundings and moments through the digital lens. She is a currently a student at Tidewater Community College in Virginia Beach, mother of three children and military wife. She has had her art featured as part of the Billboard Art Project in Richmond, Virginia, exhibitions at the Premier Gallery of Ghent in Norfolk, Virginia, Suffolk Art Gallery and Suffolk Cultural Center for the Arts in Suffolk, Virginia, and published in the book “Hampton Roads Naval Aviation: A Centennial Retrospective”. Her current work is being featured as part of the Billboard Art Project in Albany, New York and the “Fifteen Square Inches of Fame” - Andy Warhol tribute at the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art.
